CCTV Cameras

Most, if not all businesses you see around you today will have some form of cameras and CCTV systems in place to keep their business safe. You too should invest in some cameras around the outside of your company and also the interior. Make sure you are respecting employees' privacy when thinking about the best place for the cameras. If you are working on a building site then you could always get some type of mobile security, check out construction site surveillance. These can be maneuvered to and from sites, meaning they pop up and down when needed.

Physical Security

As well as CCTV cameras you might want to have a physical security guard in place. There may be areas of your company that get missed and are in the blind spots of the cameras so security guards will be able to catch anything that goes wrong. Physical security guards can patrol the grounds of your company and they could also work on reception making sure only those permitted gain access to your building.

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of hiring your own security individuals, then you could always go through a security company. They will do everything for you including check references and previous jobs held.

Train Employees

Finally, consider training your employees in the risks associated with working for a business like yours. If you train all your employees at once then nobody misses out on valuable information. You don’t want someone to ring in and gain details of customers and clients you have on your systems. Cyber attacks happen at least once every twenty seconds around the world and while you might think it won’t ever happen to you, it could happen. There may be times when the cause of this is employees working for you, so cover all bases with the right level of training.

You should also train employees not to open emails, either personal or business related while in your workplace. If they are connected to your work wifi then they will be putting your business at risk by clicking on any unknown links.
